Mr. Piotrowski was born Sept. 27, 1931, in the town of Stockton, a son of the late Joseph and Valeria (Literski) Piotrowski. He grew up on the farm and graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School.
He served in the National Guard.
He worked in the area for several years until his machinist apprenticeship took him to Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee.

They resided in Milwaukee for 10 years before returning to the Stevens Point area.
He joined the Worth Co. in Stevens Point as a machine design engineer and worked there for 37 years. His first project was to develop machinery to feed split key rings into coining presses automatically, replacing a process previously done by hand. The machinery is still in use today.
He was later named plant manager and held that position for many years. In 1980 he was named director of engineering. He designed many specialized machines during his years with the company and continued to act as a consultant until his full retirement in 2000.
He was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Toastmasters, the Knights of Columbus and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Denise Piotrowski, Scottsdale, Ariz., Debbie Hultquist, Birmingham, Ala., and Doris Langford, Stevens Point; one sister, Jean Damask, Amherst; and two grandsons.
